Our Educational Plan
Sweet Start Academy’s educational plan is guided by Florida’s Early Learning and Developmental Standards and designed to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and linguistically.
Teachers combine purposeful play, guided learning, stories, music, art, movement, sensory experiences, and small-group activities to make learning meaningful and enjoyable.
From responsive infant care to Pre-K3 and Pre-K4/VPK school-readiness experiences, each classroom is designed for its children’s developmental stage. Educators observe progress, adapt activities, and communicate important milestones so families remain informed and involved.
Language development is supported through conversation, stories, songs, and age-appropriate classroom activities. Familiar words and experiences in English and Spanish may be included naturally, helping some children maintain a connection to the language spoken at home while allowing others to become familiar with another language. This exposure complements the program’s broader focus on communication, development, confidence, and school readiness.
