Preparing Your Child for Kindergarten — Bilingually, Confidently, and with Heart
Sweet Start Academy proudly participates in Florida's Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program — providing FREE preschool for all eligible 4-year-olds in Westchester, FL. Our bilingual VPK curriculum prepares children for kindergarten with confidence, curiosity, and a joyful love of learning — meeting all five domains of Florida's early learning standards in both English and Spanish.
Our VPK curriculum covers the five domains Florida requires: language and literacy, mathematical thinking, science and social studies, physical development, and approaches to learning — all through play-based, bilingual, culturally responsive activities. Children practice letter recognition, phonological awareness, counting, and early writing in small groups where teachers meet each child exactly where they are. By the time your child transitions to kindergarten, they'll walk in confident, curious, and ready to thrive from day one. We also accept Florida School Readiness for qualifying families — our bilingual team handles the paperwork with you, in English or Spanish.
